American Superconductor Appoints Thomas Rosa to Posts of Chief Financial Officer
and Treasurer
Westborough, MA, Mar. 21:
American Superconductor Corporation (Nasdaq:
AMSC),
a leading energy technologies
company, today announced that Thomas Rosa, currently Vice President of Finance
and Accounting and Corporate Secretary, has been appointed by the Board of
Directors effective immediately to the position of Vice President, Chief
Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Rosa will have primary responsibility for
all aspects of financial management, control, reporting and planning for the
company.
Mr. Rosa, who had been serving as interim Chief
Financial Officer since March 10, has more than 20 years of financial management
experience. He joined American Superconductor in 1992 as Corporate Controller
and was elected Chief Accounting Officer and Assistant Secretary in 1998. In
2003, he was named Vice President of Finance and Accounting and in 2004 was
appointed Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining AMSC, Mr. Rosa spent 10 years in
a variety of financial management positions at Prime Computer, Wang Laboratories
and Lockheed Sanders, most recently as Division Controller at Prime Computer.
