Nydic Medical Imaging Celebrates Re-Opening of State-of-the-Art Diagnostic Imaging Facility in Columbus

Columbus, OH, August 9: Nydic Medical Imaging, a leading provider of out-patient diagnostic imaging services in the U.S., announced today the re-opening of its diagnostic imaging facility in Columbus, which was recently upgraded with the most advanced diagnostic imaging technology available for use in outpatient facilities. Nydic recently upgraded the Columbus facility with the GE Signa 3.0T EXCITE HD MR, the highest clinical magnet field-strength MRI machine available in the outpatient marketplace. The facility also added the GE 0.35T Ovation, a mid-field Open MRI machine with the widest opening available in mid-field MR equipment.

Nydic's Columbus facility is the only of its kind in the metro area to host both the high-field MRI and Open MRI, equipping Nydic's technologists with the ability to provide the most detailed diagnostic images available.

"For the past 20 years, MR has been applied to more complex clinical scenarios than ever anticipated," said John Chiminski, vice president and general manager of GE Healthcare's global MR business. "GE's new GE Signa 3.0T EXCITE HD MR is our top-of-the-line, premium 3.0T MR system. It provides the ultimate capabilities, eliminates past trade-offs and allows radiologists to be more certain when diagnosing even the toughest cases through GE- exclusive applications. We are proud to be partnering with Nydic to extend the benefits of the machine to the Columbus area."

Nydic, headquartered in Montvale, N.J., operates 26 diagnostic imaging facilities across the U.S., including five in Ohio. The Columbus event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will mark the first time Nydic patients will have access to the advanced technology. The event will also feature speeches by Senator Stivers and Nydic's CEO Larry Buchwalter.

"Nydic is thrilled to be able to offer the most advanced and accurate diagnostic imaging technology in the Columbus area," said Buchwalter. "Columbus is an important market for us, which we have served since 1997. The enhancement of our facility means that Nydic will be extending the superior level of care and imaging accuracy we have always provided to the residents of Columbus, while continuing to provide the highest level of patient comfort and service that has been our hallmark."
