Superconductor Industry Person of the Year Awards: Now Accepting Nominations!

Celebrating the individual who has made the greatest contribution to the development or commercialization of superconductivity in 2006.

The Superconductor Industry Person of the Year and Superconductor Industry Lifetime Achievement awards promote science, R&D, business, and markets for technologies involving superconductors. The Awards seek to recognize the individuals making the most significant contribution to the advancement of superconductors this year, and over the course of their career.  Past winners include Venkat Selvamanickam, Alex Malozemoff, Yuh Shiohara, and Seung Hong.

Honor the individual whose work has contributed most to the advancement of low-temperature or high-temperature superconductors in 2006.  Nominees may work in any sector, including science, industry, government, finance, etc. Impact should be measured as a singular achievement or effort in 2006.  A panel of top leaders representing all major fields of superconductivity in science and industry will select the winners.

Download the nomination form or learn more about the awards on the SCIPOY Awards website.
