Call for Peer Reviewers

The Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability is sponsoring the Superconductivity for Electric Systems Peer Review on August 7-9, 2007 in Crystal City, VA.

The meeting requires peer reviewers to evaluate the technical results of projects in three separate panels: “HTS Applications” which includes projects such as HTS cables, fault current limiters, transformers and motors; “Strategic Research” which focuses on basic materials development for HTS wires; and “Second Generation Wire” which focuses on the development of long-length, high performance HTS wire.

Nominations for peer reviewers are being accepted—please forward their contact information, brief background and qualifications to Brian Marchionini by May 16th for consideration.  Please indicate which one of the three program areas the peer reviewer would fit best and note that they will need to sign a conflict of interest form.  For more information about last year’s HTS peer reviews please visit www.energetics.com/supercon06.html
